Saudi Arabia to Host 1,000 Umrah Performers

Saudi Arabia has approved the hosting of 1,000 international performers from 16 countries under the Guests Program for Umrah and Visit, a move aimed at enriching the experience of those arriving in the Kingdom to perform Umrah.

The program brings together participants from a wide range of nations, reflecting the diversity of pilgrims and visitors who travel to Saudi Arabia each year. Their participation is intended to add a cultural and welcoming dimension to the journeys of Umrah performers and visitors.

The initiative sits within broader efforts to develop services surrounding Umrah and religious tourism, an area that continues to receive significant attention as the Kingdom expands its capacity to receive guests from around the world.

For residents and expatriates in cities such as Riyadh and Jeddah, the announcement signals continued investment in the visitor experience and the hospitality sector. Many of the millions who perform Umrah pass through or stay in major Saudi cities, making improvements to the overall welcome and service quality relevant to local communities as well.

The Guests Program for Umrah and Visit is one of several efforts designed to make the arrival, stay, and departure of Umrah performers smoother and more memorable, strengthening the Kingdom's position as a leading destination for religious travel.
