Saudi Arabia to Host 1,000 Umrah Performers as Guests

Saudi Arabia has approved hosting 1,000 Umrah performers from 16 countries under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program, an initiative carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.

The first group under the program consists of 250 performers arriving from 16 Asian countries. Those countries are Indonesia, East Timor, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mongolia.

The program brings selected guests to the Kingdom to perform Umrah and visit the Two Holy Mosques, reflecting the country's ongoing commitment to serving pilgrims and visitors from around the world.

For residents and expats across Saudi Arabia — many of whom share cultural and family ties with the participating nations — the initiative highlights the Kingdom's role as a destination that welcomes worshippers from diverse backgrounds. It also underscores the continued expansion of hospitality services surrounding Umrah, a priority for communities in Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond.
