Saudi Arabia's government digital platforms recorded strong progress in 2026, with the Digital Experience Maturity Index reaching 87.06% — a score classified at the Advanced maturity level. The results reflect ongoing national efforts to improve how residents and citizens interact with public services online.
The number of government platforms included in the 2026 assessment rose to 59, up from 50 in 2025. This fifth cycle of the index evaluated 61 selected digital platforms against criteria covering four main perspectives and 20 themes, including beneficiary satisfaction, user experience, complaint handling, and the technologies and tools in use.
The Digital Inclusion sub-index reached 76.98%, classified at the Competent level. This measure reflects inclusive service design aimed at serving all segments of society, including persons with disabilities and older persons — an important consideration for the Kingdom's diverse population of citizens and expatriates.
Wider gains in digital services
A separate national assessment of government digital services in 2026 reported an overall maturity rate of 99%. It recorded 100% in Service Availability and Development, 99% in Service Usage and User Satisfaction, and 100% in Public Access to Services.
Government agencies also measure their progress using national tools such as the Digital Transformation Measurement (Qiyas) service, a diagnostic tool aligned with global indicators and رؤية السعودية 2030, delivered through the unified government services portal. Enterprise architecture readiness is evaluated through a dedicated maturity study reviewed by the National Enterprise Architecture Team.
Meanwhile, the Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness Index 2026 — which assesses readiness to adopt tools such as artificial intelligence — reached an overall score of 76.04%, up from 74.69% in 2025, with 54 government entities taking part compared with fewer the previous year. For everyday users, these results point to faster, more accessible, and more inclusive government services across the Kingdom.
