Saudi Exchange and the Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa) have implemented increases in the issue sizes of several outstanding Saudi government sukuk denominated in Saudi Riyal, reflecting additional tranches subscribed by investors under the government's domestic sukuk program.
The affected issues carry Tadawul codes including 5332, 5339, 5379 and related government sukuk issued between 2023 and 2026. The aggregate additional issuance implemented in 2026 and linked to the August 2026 allocation totals about SAR 9.5 billion, divided into five tranches maturing in 2031, 2033, 2036, 2039 and 2041.
the tranche maturing in 2031 was set at SAR 1.55 billion, the 2033 tranche at about SAR 2.39 billion, the 2036 tranche at SAR 258 million, the 2039 tranche at about SAR 4.06 billion, and the 2041 tranche at SAR 1.25 billion.
These allocations come alongside monthly domestic sukuk issuances closed earlier in 2026, including issues in March, May, June and July, each spread across multiple tranches with varying maturities. The March issuance included tranches from SAR 11 million up to SAR 5.4 billion, while the June issuance covered six tranches ranging from about SAR 320 million to SAR 4.7 billion.
For residents and investors in the Kingdom, the steady flow of Riyal-denominated government sukuk reflects continued deepening of the local debt market and offers savers and financial institutions additional low-risk instruments. The listings and increased issue sizes are part of ongoing government financing activity that supports the wider financial sector and long-term economic planning.
