The National Debt Management Center closed its August 2026 domestic sukuk issuance with a total allocation of SAR 9.518 billion, issued under the Saudi Arabian Government Saudi riyal‑denominated sukuk program. Investor orders were received and closed through the center's official issuance process.
The issuance was divided into five tranches with varying maturities. The first tranche was set at SAR 1.550 billion, maturing in 2031, while the second reached SAR 2.396 billion, maturing in 2033. The third tranche stood at SAR 258 million, maturing in 2036, followed by the largest tranche at SAR 4.064 billion, maturing in 2039. The fifth tranche was allocated at SAR 1.250 billion, maturing in 2041.
Participation in these sukuk is available through licensed financial institutions and capital‑market platforms. They are not offered through government service apps such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, نفاذ or توكلنا.
Not the same as "Sah" savings sukuk
This issuance is distinct from the "Sah" savings sukuk, which for August 2026 offers a fixed annual return of 4.70% over a one‑year term. Sah is aimed at individual savers, with a minimum subscription of SAR 1,000 and a maximum of SAR 200,000 and is available only to Saudi citizens aged 18 and above through approved investment platforms.
In a separate August 2026 transaction, about SAR 17.1 billion of outstanding sukuk maturing between 2026 and 2030 were redeemed early, alongside the issuance of about SAR 17.2 billion in new sukuk across five tranches, with maturities running from 2031 to 2041.
The steady schedule of domestic sukuk issuances supports the development of the local debt market and offers investors a range of Saudi riyal‑denominated instruments across different maturities.
