Saudi 911 Handles 2.7 Million Calls in July 2026

Saudi Arabia's unified emergency number 911 handled 2,733,359 public safety calls during July 2026, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions.

The Riyadh region recorded the highest volume with 1,129,908 calls, followed by the Makkah region with 847,929 calls. The Eastern Province logged 514,984 calls, while the Madinah region received 240,538 calls over the same period.

The 911 number brings together multiple emergency services under a single point of contact, allowing residents and visitors to reach police, ambulance, civil defense, and other responders quickly through one line. The system is designed to route each call to the right agency and cut response times.

Why it matters

For families, workers, and travellers across the Kingdom's most populated regions, the figures reflect a steady reliance on the unified line for day-to-day safety needs. High call volumes in Riyadh and Makkah in particular point to the demand placed on emergency operations in areas with large populations and heavy visitor movement.

Authorities continue to remind the public to use 911 responsibly, keeping the line open for genuine emergencies so that response teams can reach those in urgent need without delay.
