Saudi National Day 96: Events in Nine Cities

Saudi Living has learned that celebrations for Saudi National Day 96 will take place on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, under the official theme “Our Pride Is in Our Character.” A wide programme of fireworks, air shows, and cultural events has been scheduled across nine cities, with most public activities offered free of charge.

Fireworks displays are set for 9:00 p.m. on 23 September in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Madinah, Jeddah, Hail, Arar, Al-Baha, Tabuk, and Buraidah. In the capital, the main show will run 22–23 September from 4:00 p.m. at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.

Jeddah will host an air show on 18 and 20 September at 5:00 p.m. along the Jeddah Waterfront and Roshan Waterfront near Jeddah Hilton. Al Khobar’s air show follows on 26–27 September at 4:30 p.m. on Al Khobar Corniche, opposite the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (Scitech).

More across the Kingdom

The Qassim region alone will feature more than 35 events at 35 locations across Buraidah and other regional cities and governorates. In Dhahran, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture will run a five-day cultural programme from 22 to 26 September. In Taif, the Taif National Day Cup will be held on 26 September from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at King Khalid Racecourse, with free general admission.

Fireworks and official air shows are free to attend, and no ticket fee was identified for them. Private ticketed events — including concerts and activities in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, and Taif — vary in price. Residents and visitors are encouraged to check official channels, including the General Entertainment Authority, the Ministry of Defense, municipal authorities, and official booking listings, for timings and updates before heading out.
