Saudi Non-Oil Exports Hit SAR 624 Billion in 2025

Saudi Arabia recorded strong growth in its non-oil exports in 2025, reaching about SAR 624 billion, up from SAR 543 billion in 2024 — an annual increase of 15%. Their share of total exports climbed from 39% to 44%, signalling continued progress in diversifying the economy away from crude.

In the first half of the year alone, non-oil exports (including re-exports) reached roughly SAR 307 billion (about USD 82 billion), described as an unprecedented level. The upward trend held across the year, with growth of 13.4% year-on-year in the first quarter and 22.1% in June.

What is driving the growth

Machinery, electrical appliances and parts remained a leading category, making up about 23% of non-oil exports in the fourth quarter (around SAR 22.7 billion), followed by chemical products at roughly 20% (around SAR 19.7 billion). In the fourth quarter, non-oil exports including re-exports totalled about SAR 97.5 billion, or 32% of total merchandise exports of SAR 300.1 billion.

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was the top non-oil export hub in the fourth quarter, handling nearly SAR 15.6 billion in exports — about 16% of the total. Re-exported goods also surged, rising 43.1% year-on-year in December.

The steady rise builds on several years of expansion, with non-oil exports growing from about SAR 325 billion in 2021 to SAR 468 billion in 2022, SAR 477 billion in 2023, SAR 543 billion in 2024, and SAR 624 billion in 2025. For residents and businesses, the shift points to a broadening economic base, more diverse trade activity, and expanding opportunities beyond the energy sector under رؤية السعودية 2030.
