Saudi Arabia's tracked renewable-energy pipeline has reached 63.8 gigawatts spread across 53 solar and wind projects, The figure reflects planned and developing capacity rather than the total power currently generated.
The pipeline is a project register that lists each scheme's status, expected commissioning year, region, technology, capacity, and levelized cost of electricity. Project-level costs are recorded in US cents
Cumulative renewable capacity for 2026 is projected at 19.3 gigawatts. Eight projects are expected to be commissioned during the year, adding a combined 7.7 gigawatts. Of these, six are already listed as installed.
Two of the 2026 projects remain under development: Henakiyah 2 Solar, a 400-megawatt plant in the Madinah Region, and Rabigh 2 Solar, a 300-megawatt plant in the Makkah Region.
Why it matters
For residents across the Kingdom, the growing renewable pipeline signals a steady expansion of solar and wind power as part of the country's long-term energy strategy. As more projects move from development to operation, cleaner electricity capacity continues to build across multiple regions, supporting the wider goals of رؤية السعودية 2030.
