Saudia Signs Deal to Finance New Airbus Aircraft

Saudia Group signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Saudi EXIM Bank and Crédit Agricole CIB on 25 August 2026 in Paris, aimed at exploring and arranging financing for new Airbus aircraft as part of the carrier's fleet expansion and modernization plans.

Under the proposed structure, Crédit Agricole CIB would act as financier and arranger, while Saudi EXIM Bank would serve as the export credit agency providing credit-risk insurance. Saudia Group would carry out its fleet growth and renewal program.

The memorandum is an early-stage understanding rather than a final purchase or financing contract. It did not specify the number of aircraft, the aircraft types, the financing amount, any fees or prices, or a delivery timeline.
