Saur, Nesma Sign Riyadh Recycled Water MoU

Saur Saudi Arabia and Nesma & Partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 24 August 2026 to pursue a strategic recycled water infrastructure opportunity in Riyadh. The agreement is aimed at preparing for the next phase of the tender process for the project.

The two companies described the memorandum as supporting the goals of رؤية السعودية 2030, with a focus on developing sustainable water resources in the capital. The move builds on an earlier strategic partnership between the two firms established in September 2025.

Why it matters

Water sustainability is a growing priority across the Kingdom, and recycled water infrastructure plays an important role in meeting demand while reducing pressure on natural resources. Projects of this kind in Riyadh can support long-term efficiency in how the city manages and reuses water.

At this stage, the memorandum outlines a framework and signals the intention of both parties to advance toward the tender process. It does not represent a finalized contract or the launch of any service directly involving the public.

No fees, prices, timelines, or public application steps have been announced for this opportunity, and no consumer-facing government channel has been linked to it. Saudi Living will continue to follow developments as the project moves through its next phases.
