Superheroes Back to School Run in Jeddah on Aug 14

Families in Jeddah can lace up for the Superheroes Back to School Run, a community sporting event set for Friday, August 14, at ROSHN Waterfront in the Ash Shati district along the Red Sea. Activities begin around 5:00 p.m. and welcome both adults and young runners.

The event offers three race categories to suit different ages and fitness levels. A 2 km Kids Run is dedicated to children under 13, while a 2 km Family Run is open to participants aged 13 and above. For those seeking a longer challenge, a 5 km race is also available for runners 13 and older.

Registration fees are set at 45 SAR for the 2 km Kids Run, 85 SAR for the 2 km Family Fun Run, and 85 SAR for the 5 km race. Each paid package includes a timing chip, a bib number, and a finisher's certificate. Registration is completed online through the organizing endurance-events platform at masafatsa.com.

What to know before you go

Registration is valid only for this specific event on August 14 and for the race category selected, and entitlements cannot be transferred to other events. No government service platform is used for ticketing, and no special residency or permit is required beyond normal legal presence in the Kingdom.

ROSHN Waterfront is the branded stretch of Jeddah's Corniche on the Red Sea. Public access to the waterfront is free and generally open around the clock, but joining the run requires paid registration.
