King Khalid Racecourse in Taif Governorate is set to host the ninth and tenth race evenings of the 2026 Taif Racing Season on Friday 21 August and Saturday 22 August 2026, as part of the fifth week program.
The fifth week features 22 races in total, with 11 races staged each evening. Combined prize money for the two nights reaches SAR 2.3 million.
The ninth evening on Friday is the Makkah Almokarramah Regional Governor Cup Race Meeting, while the tenth evening on Saturday is the Taif Arabian Horses Derby (Stakes) Race Meeting. The Derby highlights a three-year-old race over 1,600 meters, carrying a prize of SAR 350,000.
Tickets and Timings
General Admission tickets are free for the 2026 season, booked through online registration via the WeBook app. General Admission offers trackside views, grandstand seating, and access to live music, a night food market, the Bel Azure restaurant, and retail outlets, subject to venue terms and conditions. Premium admission tickets start from SAR 35, providing enhanced access and hospitality.
Racing is typically held on Fridays and Saturdays from around 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with gates opening about 2:45 PM and some hospitality areas operating until roughly 9:00 PM.
The season continues to grow as a family-friendly weekend option in the Taif area, combining competitive Arabian horse racing with entertainment and dining. Entry registration is handled through online platforms rather than government service apps.
