10th Arab Festival of Sports for All Opens in Riyadh

Riyadh is hosting the 10th Arab Festival of Sports for All, a five-day event that brings together sports, cultural, and recreational activities for the community. The festival is organized by the Saudi Sports for All Federation in cooperation with Arab sports for all bodies.

The event welcomes delegations from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, and Syria, alongside the Arab Sports for All union, reflecting a broad regional gathering focused on community fitness and shared expertise.

Visitors can take part in a wide range of activities, including table tennis, archery, air hockey, boxing challenges, interactive basketball, mini-football, floor curling, interactive cycling, and traditional heritage games. The mix is designed to appeal to families and participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Why it matters

The festival aims to encourage community sports participation and healthy lifestyles, while strengthening Arab regional cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of sports for all. Organizers also see it as a preparatory milestone on the road to Riyadh hosting the 8th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in 2028.

For residents and expats in the capital, the event offers an accessible, community-oriented way to try new sports and enjoy recreational activities over the five-day program. Participation for delegations and athletes is coordinated through sports federations and institutions in each country.
