AlQadsiah Signs Deal to Develop Saudi Athletes

AlQadsiah Club Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee at the company's headquarters in Al Khobar Governorate on 11 September 2026, aimed at developing sports talent at the club level. Under the deal, AlQadsiah becomes Saudi Arabia's first recognized multisport training facility covering multiple Olympic and Paralympic sports.

The agreement sets out several goals: improving how athletes are prepared at the club level, identifying and developing talent across multiple disciplines, enhancing technical and coaching expertise, and building integrated pathways that carry athletes from grassroots to elite level. The wider aim is to prepare a new generation of Saudi athletes capable of competing internationally.

As part of the cooperation, athletes of the Saudi Olympic Training Centre in the Eastern Region will gain access to AlQadsiah's sports facilities and equipment for daily training. The arrangement also strengthens coordination among technical staff and specialists in performance, sports science, medical support, and athlete monitoring, creating an integrated daily training environment close to where athletes live and train.

Officials described the agreement as opening broader prospects for integration between sports clubs and the Olympic and Paralympic system, and for building a professional, sustainable environment for multiple sports within the club.

The move builds on AlQadsiah's existing athlete development ecosystem, which includes six academy locations serving more than 2,000 players across age groups and skill levels, with a focus on talent identification, alongside a multi-year partnership with a sports data intelligence provider to digitize youth and academy performance data.

For families and young athletes in the Eastern Region, the agreement means expanded access to professional facilities and structured development pathways close to home, supporting the long-term growth of Saudi sport.
