Al Hilal Open Season With 4–2 Win Over Al Faisaly

Al Hilal launched their 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League season with a 4–2 home victory over Al Faisaly on Friday, 14 August 2026, at Kingdom Arena in the King Fahd district of northwest Riyadh.

The champions took a firm grip on the match early, building a three-goal cushion in the first half. Karim Benzema converted from the penalty spot, Malcom added a goal from open play, and Rubén Neves scored the first of his two penalties before the interval.

Al Faisaly rallied in the second half, netting twice to close the gap to 3–2 and setting up a tense finish. But Neves restored the two-goal margin late on with his second successful penalty, sealing the 4–2 result and three league points for Al Hilal.

The fixture opened the first round of the 2026–27 campaign under standard league regulations, including up to five substitutions across three windows plus half-time, and the current rules on foreign-player eligibility.

Attending league games at Kingdom Arena

Kingdom Arena is a purpose-built football stadium and Al Hilal's main home ground. In August, league matches typically kick off in the evening between 21:00 and 22:00 to ease the summer heat, with gates usually opening about two hours before kick-off.

Single-match tickets for Al Hilal league games in 2026 generally range from around 40–70 SAR for upper-tier general admission and 80–150 SAR for lower-tier seats, with premium and hospitality categories often starting from 400 SAR under dynamic pricing. Tickets are sold through the club's official e-ticketing platform and the league's official channels, issued as electronic QR codes scanned at the turnstiles.

Buyers register with a Saudi mobile number and national ID or iqama number, and pay in Saudi riyals via Mada, local credit cards, or approved digital wallets. Tawakkalna health checks that were required during the pandemic are no longer generally needed in 2026.
