Buraydah in the Qassim region is hosting the Buraydah International Dates Carnival 2026, one of the world's largest dates markets, running from 1 August 2026 until mid-October 2026 at Date City. The 75-day season continues to draw producers, traders, and families from across Saudi Arabia and abroad as part of the region's summer tourism offering.
Entry to the carnival grounds is free of charge, with free parking available for visitors. The main dates market operates as a large open farmers' market and trade hub, connecting farms directly with shoppers. Wholesale dawn auctions serve traders and farmers in the early morning, while the structured public carnival portion is typically open daily from about 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Family activities at Al Bustan
Alongside the market, a programmed set of activities is held at Al Bustan in Buraydah for roughly 20 days, from 20 August to early September 2026. The programme features cultural and family entertainment including Palm Theatre shows, workshops, heritage experiences, Palm Museum exhibits, children's zones, roaming performers, and fireworks. Official listings describe the programme without stating ticket prices, indicating these activities are offered as free public events within the carnival.
Separately, the Buraidah Summer Festival runs for 60 days from 25 June 2026 at King Abdullah National Park, offering restaurant and café zones, family product stalls, youth projects, games, live entertainment, and daily competitions for all ages.
For residents and visitors, these events highlight Qassim's status as a leading date-growing region and offer accessible summer outings without a mandatory admission charge. Attendance does not require the use of digital government apps, making them easy to reach for both citizens and expats planning a family day out.
