Capital Derby Moves to King Fahd Sports City Stadium

The Saudi Pro League's Capital Derby between Al Nassr and Al Hilal in the 2025–26 season will be played at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh instead of Al-Awwal Park. The fixture, part of matchweek 17, is scheduled for 11 December 2026.

The change of venue is part of updated match arrangements directed by the Ministry of Sports and serves as an operational test of the renovated stadium. The evaluation covers the pitch, lighting, scoreboards, crowd flow, stands, construction status, and overall facilities ahead of the venue's return to service.

King Fahd Sports City Stadium is reopening in late 2026 following an expansion that raises its capacity from around 58,000 to approximately 70,200 seats. Despite the move, Al Nassr's home-team privileges — including ticket allocations, home-fan sections, and technical arrangements — will be preserved, with the Saudi Pro League coordinating the detailed setup with the club.

Tickets and matchday access

Official match information and any late changes are published through the Saudi Pro League's official digital platforms and apps and the Ministry of Sports' official channels. Public e-government platforms such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, and نفاذ are not used for ticket purchase or stadium entry for this event.

Tickets are sold through the official Saudi Pro League ticketing portal and verified apps that issue mobile QR-code tickets. All league venues, including King Fahd Sports City Stadium, run cashless matchdays with QR-code entry; printed tickets are typically not accepted.

Typical 2026 prices are SAR 10–100 for general admission and SAR 100–250 for premium seating, while derbies and big-four fixtures such as Al Nassr vs Al Hilal range from SAR 50–350. Hospitality and VIP packages run about SAR 1,500–5,000. Fans select the fixture from the official ticketing page or a partnered app, then choose seating category and quantity to complete the purchase.
