CyberHero Robot Sports League Launches in Riyadh

Riyadh will host the launch of CyberHero, described as the world's first global humanoid robot sports league, on 9 September 2026. The debut competition, titled "CyberHero x Riyadh," marks the league's first humanoid robot combat event and takes place at Boulevard City inside a purpose-built arena in MBC Studio 1.

The event runs for about two hours, starting at 9:00 PM, with doors opening around 8:30 PM. It features team-based humanoid robot combat in a kickboxing-style format, with structured 1v1 fights and HP-based scoring. Ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots — each standing about 1.73 m tall, weighing 75 to 85 kg and fitted with 29 joints — will compete in live combat, with potential appearances from other robot brands.

Beyond the fights, organisers are planning a full entertainment package including music, lighting, immersive show elements and a DJ performance by Tokyo Machine. Each competing team is built around three defined roles: builders who handle robot design and engineering, coders who manage AI and control systems, and drivers who steer live in-arena action and tactical decisions.

A global circuit begins here

CyberHero is positioned as a global circuit spanning four regions — the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia. The inaugural season is planned across eight cities, including two stops in the Middle East, placing Riyadh at the centre of a new international sports concept.

The Riyadh event will not be live-streamed, but it will be professionally recorded, with highlights and additional content released later on CyberHero's official channels. The launch adds to Riyadh's growing calendar of technology-driven entertainment, offering residents and visitors a first look at a sport that blends engineering, artificial intelligence and live competition.
