Driving Force STEM Platform Expands in Saudi Arabia

A STEM education program active in Saudi Arabia has launched a new phase of its online learning platform, offering students, parents, and educators an always-on digital destination for science and sustainability content. The program targets young people aged 8 to 18 through live school workshops, teacher resources, and the online platform.

The 2026 expansion introduces a unified platform with tailored experiences for each audience and gamified content that includes interactive challenges, quizzes, games, and rewards. Modules for ages 8–12 cover topics such as air pollution, sustainable energy solutions, the circular economy, and ocean protection, while content for ages 12–18 focuses on renewable energy and careers in motorsport and sustainability.

Launch content on the updated platform centers on the GEN4 racing car, using its technology and sustainability features to explain future mobility and related career pathways. The platform is accessed directly through its dedicated website and is not delivered through government service portals.

Reach and local activities

Since it began, the program has reached 111,200 young people through teacher-led content and live workshops across more than 1,100 schools in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom, with about 60,000 students reached globally in 2025 and further expansion planned for 2026.

In the Kingdom, the program started with pilots in five schools, followed by a broader rollout including workshops in Jeddah tied to electric motorsport events for students aged 8–18. Activities have included hands-on sessions demonstrating engineering, data, broadcast technology, and event operations in electric racing and electric boats, along with trackside access, behind-the-scenes visits, and race viewing during events such as the E1 Jeddah GP.

For families in Riyadh and Jeddah, the initiative offers a free educational route into science and sustainability topics linked to real-world motorsport careers. Participation is structured as an educational initiative and is not listed with mandatory government fees or service charges.
