First Corporate Green Portfolio Launches on Ehsan

In August 2026, the National Greening Program and the National Platform for Charitable Work, Ehsan, launched the first corporate-funded vegetation donation portfolio in Saudi Arabia, with Arabian Cement Company as the inaugural corporate donor opening the portfolio with a contribution of SAR 50,000.

The new portfolio is a dedicated channel inside the Ehsan platform that directs corporate and individual donations specifically to vegetation cover and afforestation projects, rather than to general charitable categories. The funded projects are implemented by nonprofit organizations under the supervision of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC), supporting the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative.

Donations can be made quickly through the Ehsan website and mobile application, or by phone via the unified call center number 8001247000. Standard donations on the platform take around 10 seconds using integrated payment systems, and gifts to the vegetation portfolio follow the same flow. Public information on the portfolio does not set any fixed fee or price

Why it matters

The portfolio channels giving toward long-term environmental goals. Through such donation portfolios, the National Greening Program and NCVC support a 10-year plantation and restoration program with the private sector targeting 40 million local trees, carbon emission reductions of around 16 million tons, and the use of treated wastewater to irrigate plantation projects.

NCVC and Ehsan had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding to identify afforestation sites, set technical standards for planting projects, and ensure that listed initiatives are trusted and sustainable. As of 2025–2026, Ehsan has raised billions of riyals across all categories, with part of the funds directed to environmental and tree-planting initiatives in several Saudi provinces.
