The Gulf Health Council and the Saudi Sports for All Federation have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote physical activity and healthier lifestyles across Saudi Arabia. The memorandum of understanding focuses on joint programs, campaigns, and community events rather than any paid services or fees.
The partnership aims to increase participation in sports and physical activity among residents, and to roll out awareness campaigns covering physical activity, mental health, and the prevention of noncommunicable diseases. It directly supports the Vision 2030 Quality of Life Program target of raising the share of people who exercise at least once a week to 40% by 2030.
Community campaigns and events
Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate on health awareness initiatives, social media campaigns, and community events, with a focus on Saudi Arabia. The work aligns with campaigns such as “For You and Life” and “Mental Health,” which use sport to promote mental well-being, and connects with the Federation’s wider ecosystem of school, university, corporate, and community programs designed to make participation accessible in every region of the Kingdom.
The agreement itself does not set specific participation fees for individuals. Health-promotion campaigns and walking and awareness challenges run under the partnership are positioned as public-health and community initiatives, and are typically free for participants when delivered as national campaigns. No official schedule of standardized participation fees tied to the partnership has been published.
Registration in challenges, step campaigns, and community sports groups is handled through the Federation’s own channels, primarily the Sports for All mobile app and website. The partnership is described as ongoing cooperation without a fixed expiry date, framed as part of the Kingdom’s long-term health and Quality of Life agenda — meaning residents can expect these programs to continue over the coming years.
