Saudi Arabia's national digital hobbies portal, Hawi, has surpassed 111,000 registered members, reflecting growing public interest in organized hobby communities across the Kingdom. As of late August 2026, the platform counts 111,167 members and 3,533 registered hobby clubs.
Launched under the Quality of Life Program, Hawi is designed to organize hobby clubs and communities nationwide. The portal now hosts 4,123 events and covers 233 distinct hobbies, giving residents a single place to discover activities and connect with like-minded enthusiasts.
Registration and use are handled directly through the official Hawi website. Based on currently available information, the portal is not integrated for user registration through other government platforms, and membership data and club status are managed within Hawi's own electronic system.
How to join
To register as a hobbyist, users create an individual account through the electronic form on the portal. Adults enter their national ID or iqama details in the membership form, after which membership is confirmed electronically and a digital profile is created. To join an existing club, members log in, visit the club's page, and submit a join request. If a club uses paid membership packages, the user selects the appropriate package and completes payment through the club's channel as specified on Hawi.
Founding a new club
Founding a club requires a valid platinum membership on Hawi, along with at least three founding members holding active platinum memberships: a president, vice president, and treasurer. Founders upgrade to platinum, complete the club founding request form with the club's definition, goals, founders' information and planned activities, and specify an address. If no physical premises are available, the president's national address is used. After supporting documents are uploaded and the application is reviewed by Hawi and the supervising entity, an electronic club founding certificate is issued once all requirements are met.
The steady growth of Hawi points to rising demand for structured hobby spaces in the community, offering residents new ways to pursue interests, build local networks, and take part in organized cultural, sports, and recreational activities.
