Humain, DataVolt Build 1.5 GW AI Campus in NEOM

Saudi AI company HUMAIN and digital infrastructure developer DataVolt are moving ahead with a large AI-ready data center campus in Oxagon, the industrial and port zone within NEOM on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. The campus is planned to reach a total capacity of 1.5 gigawatts (GW), with the first 100 megawatts (MW) now under construction.

The 100 MW forms part of a 360 MW first phase and is targeted to be available in 2028, providing high-density infrastructure for advanced AI and cloud workloads. DataVolt is backing the initial phase with an investment on the order of USD 5 billion, and the first phase is expected to be operational by around 2028.

HUMAIN is a Public Investment Fund (PIF)-backed Saudi company focused on full-stack AI capabilities, while DataVolt develops and operates sustainable digital infrastructure. The wider campus is designed as an "AI factory" for high-power AI workloads, with advanced cooling technologies and high-speed connectivity.

The facility is planned to draw on renewable energy from NEOM's wind and solar assets and to use innovative cooling systems to support high-density computing. Land in Oxagon is leased to DataVolt by NEOM/Oxagon, with power, connectivity and utilities provided as part of the development framework.

For residents and the tech community, the project signals a growing push to build large-scale AI and cloud capacity inside the Kingdom, supporting local data hosting and digital services as capacity scales toward 1.5 GW over time. No customer pricing, tariffs, or onboarding processes have been publicly detailed for the campus as of early September 2026.
