Jeddah Airport Terminal 4 Opens, Adds 15M Capacity

Terminal 4 at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah began phased operations on September 27, 2026, boosting the airport's capacity by up to 15 million passengers annually.

The new terminal spans approximately 97,000 square metres and is being brought into service in stages, with airlines transferred gradually over the coming period.

The first carriers to move their operations to Terminal 4 were Wizz Air, AJet, and SalamAir. Additional airline transfers are scheduled in later phases, including Fly Jinnah, Nesma Airlines, Akasa Air, SyrianAir, Pegasus, Azerbaijan Airlines, and Tunisair.

Why it matters

For residents and visitors in Jeddah, the added capacity is designed to ease passenger flow and support the airport's growing international traffic. As operations shift in phases, travelers may find their check-in location has changed depending on their airline.

Because the transfers are happening over time, passengers are advised to confirm their terminal and check-in point before heading to the airport. The most reliable way to do this is by checking directly with your airline and through King Abdulaziz International Airport's official passenger-information channels.
