The Saudi Ministry of Health has launched its 2026 seasonal influenza vaccination campaign, which began on September 16, 2026. The vaccine is available through Ministry of Health services at designated healthcare facilities across the Kingdom.
Residents can book an appointment through the Sehhaty application by selecting the seasonal influenza vaccination service, then choosing an available facility and time slot. No fee was stated in the current announcement.
Who should get vaccinated first
The Ministry has identified several priority groups for the seasonal shot. These include people with chronic diseases, adults over the age of 50, children between 6 months and 5 years old, pregnant women, people with severe obesity, and healthcare workers.
Health authorities note that the influenza vaccine is recommended every year. Because the influenza viruses in circulation change over time, seasonal vaccination is generally repeated annually to maintain effective protection.
For families and residents across Riyadh, Jeddah, and other cities, the campaign offers a straightforward way to stay protected as the flu season approaches. Booking early through Sehhaty helps secure a convenient appointment at a nearby facility.
