46,900 New Companies Registered in Saudi Arabia in 1H 2026

Saudi Arabia's business sector recorded strong momentum in the first half of 2026, with 46,900 new companies established across the Kingdom during the six-month period.

The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center delivered more than 2.9 million services to commercial establishments over the same period, reflecting the pace of activity in the market and the growing demand for business support.

The first half of 2026 also saw 86,800 establishment registrations and 3,500 online store verifications, signalling continued expansion in both traditional and digital commerce.

Why it matters

For residents and entrepreneurs in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, the figures point to an increasingly active commercial environment with more opportunities for new ventures, jobs and services. The rise in online store verifications in particular highlights the steady shift toward e-commerce among Saudi businesses.

The numbers reflect the wider goals of رؤية السعودية 2030 to diversify the economy and broaden the private sector's role, creating a more welcoming climate for local and international investors alike.
