Public Investment Fund (PIF) has issued a public warning against fraudulent communications carried out in its name, urging residents and citizens across the Kingdom to stay alert to attempts at impersonation aimed at stealing money or personal data.
PIF does not provide direct services to individuals. Any phone call, text message, email, or social-media contact that claims to be from the fund and asks for money transfers, remittances, personal information, or financial details should be treated as fraudulent. Such requests amount to identity theft and illegal activity, regardless of how official they may appear.
How to report
Anyone who receives a suspicious contact of this kind is advised to avoid responding and to report the incident to the competent authorities. Cybercrime and online fraud can be reported directly through the Kollona Amn app, the official channel for flagging such cases.
The fund stressed that this is a security alert and not a paid service — there are no fees, prices, or validity periods attached to it. The message is consistent with earlier warnings issued during 2025 and 2026, all carrying the same core advice: do not respond to any request for money or transfers made in PIF's name.
For the community, the reminder is a timely one. Fraud attempts that exploit the names of well-known institutions have become increasingly sophisticated, and awareness remains the strongest line of defense. Verifying the identity of any caller, never sharing personal or banking details, and reporting suspicious messages quickly can help protect individuals and limit the reach of these scams.
