Construction is intensifying at القدية, the vast sports and entertainment city being built about 45 km southwest of central الرياض. Spanning 367 square kilometres, the project is positioned as a flagship leisure destination under رؤية السعودية 2030, with its first venues already opening to the public through 2026.
القدية remains in active construction, with Phase 1 components — a theme park, motorsport circuit, golf facilities, a water park, hotels and residential areas — being delivered in stages. Two major attractions are already welcoming guests as part of these phased operations.
Venues open to the public
Six Flags Qiddiya City, marketed as the first Six Flags theme park in Asia, has been public-facing since late December 2025, with early guest access continuing through 2026. Its headline attraction is Falcons Flight, promoted as the world's tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster.
Aquarabia Water Park opened to the public on 23 April 2026 after a soft-opening period in March. Described as the largest water park in the Middle East and North Africa, it covers around 25 hectares and features roughly 22 rides and attractions themed on environments of the Arabian Peninsula.
Verified 2026 ticket prices in ريال سعودي, ride fees, cabana rentals and daily operating hours have not been publicly confirmed for either venue. Both operate on standard date-based admission through online and on-site ticketing, with no requirement to use government apps such as أبشر, مقيم or توكلنا to buy tickets or enter.
Beyond the operating attractions, additional major venues remain under construction, including a motorsport and Formula 1 circuit. For residents and visitors across الرياض, القدية signals a growing wave of large-scale leisure options taking shape close to the capital.
