Riyadh Launches E-Scooter Network on Olaya Street

Remat Al-Riyadh has signed its first contract to operate integrated alternative-mobility services in the capital, launching an e-scooter and electric-bike network along one of Riyadh's busiest corridors. The agreement was signed with International Modern Industries Company for the first phase of the project.

The network stretches roughly 22 kilometres along Olaya Street and Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed bin Jalawi Street in the Al-Dhubab area. The first phase includes about 1,000 electric scooters and e-bikes, designated parking locations, and dedicated operation and maintenance services.

The service is designed to support short journeys and to connect riders with Riyadh's wider public-transport network, offering residents and visitors a flexible option for covering short distances and reaching nearby stations.

For the city's community of residents and expats, the project adds a new, low-emission way to move around central Riyadh and complements existing transport links. By concentrating the first phase along a major commercial route, the network targets areas with high foot traffic and daily demand for short trips.

No official rental fees in Saudi Riyal, prices, registration steps, validity periods, launch date, or payment channels have been announced so far. Saudi Living will share further details once they become available.
