Riyadh Tenders Expo 2030 Souq Areas Packages

Expo 2030 Riyadh Company has floated a major tender covering the Souq areas within the Expo site in Riyadh. The tender was issued on 30 July 2026, with submissions due by 9 October 2026, marking a key step in advancing the development of one of the capital's largest planned destinations.

The package spans five precincts across a total development area of about 300,000 square metres. These are: Adaptation & Innovation (82,358 sq m), Culture of Wisdom (67,112 sq m), Place & Planet (62,306 sq m), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (45,967 sq m), and The Icon (41,417 sq m). The scope includes the precincts themselves along with associated vertical elements, infrastructure, and public realm works.

The Souq areas are designed as a mixed-use destination, combining rented and partnership pavilions with food and beverage outlets, retail, and a range of visitor-experience offerings. The site will connect with three public parks and the Natural Corridor, with bridges providing links across the wider development.

Why it matters

For residents and visitors in Riyadh, the tender signals continued momentum on infrastructure and urban development tied to Expo 2030. Once complete, the Souq areas are expected to become a central gathering and experience zone, offering shopping, dining, and cultural attractions in a walkable, connected environment.

Exact fees, prices, and official submission channels were not specified in the details available at the time of writing.
