Riyadh Urban Cycling World Championships Cancelled

The 2026 Urban Cycling World Championships, which were due to be held in Riyadh from 3 to 7 November, have been cancelled and will not take place, organisers confirmed.

The decision was announced jointly by the world cycling governing body and the Saudi Cycling Federation, following an assessment of regional developments and their impact on logistical arrangements for the event.

The championships were set to feature BMX Freestyle and Trials competitions, drawing elite international riders in two of cycling's most dynamic disciplines to the capital.

For residents and visitors who had been looking forward to the event, the cancellation means the planned November showcase will no longer go ahead. No rescheduled dates or alternative arrangements were announced alongside the cancellation.
