SABIC Agri-Nutrients, Maaden Sign Fertilizer MoU

SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company and Maaden Integrated Fertilizer Company have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore cooperation and joint investment opportunities across the fertilizers and agri-nutrients value chain. The memorandum was signed on 17 August 2026 and runs for three years from that date.

Under the agreement, the two companies will study opportunities in the development, investment, production and manufacturing of value-added fertilizer and agricultural nutrient products across the full value chain. The memorandum currently carries no disclosed financial impact.

The companies noted that any future joint projects or transactions arising from the memorandum would remain subject to technical and commercial studies, the required regulatory and corporate approvals, final investment decisions, and definitive agreements before moving ahead.

Why it matters

The collaboration supports SABIC Agri-Nutrients' 2040 strategy, which aims to strengthen its position as a leading national and global player in agricultural nutrients and nitrogen products. For the wider community, the effort reflects continued investment in the Kingdom's industrial and food-security supply chains.

As of August 2026, no specific fees in Saudi Riyal, product prices, or customer tariffs have been announced in connection with the memorandum. The agreement is framed as a corporate and investment cooperation arrangement rather than a retail or licensing service for individuals or small businesses, so no public application channels or service validity periods are attached to it. Investor-related details are published through the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) company announcements platform, while SABIC Agri-Nutrients lists its headquarters in Riyadh's Qurtubah District with published investor-relations contacts. No amendments, cancellations, or extensions beyond the original three-year term have been reported.
