The Saudi Sports for All Federation has launched a nationwide walking initiative aiming to record a collective 10 billion steps by residents and citizens across the Kingdom between the start of July and the end of December 2026. The campaign is open to communities in all regions and cities, all working toward a single shared national goal.
Running under the slogan "Don't Count Your Steps, Let Them Count," the initiative is designed to encourage healthier lifestyles, raise daily physical activity levels, and support the quality-of-life targets set out in Saudi Vision 2030 through sustained walking habits.
How to take part
Participation is entirely free of charge, with no subscription or fees required. Everything is handled through the federation's own mobile app: participants download the app, link their smartphone or wearable device, and their daily steps are automatically added to a national running tally. The app also offers personal trackers and milestone challenges to keep users motivated.
Only steps logged during the July to December 2026 window count toward the target, and all challenges apply within this timeframe. The initiative is currently active during the second half of 2026 and is being promoted as a community-wide campaign with digital engagement and social media outreach.
For residents and expats across the Kingdom, the initiative offers a simple, cost-free way to build a daily walking routine while contributing to a shared national milestone. With participation tracked automatically through connected devices, joining requires little more than downloading the app and taking the first step.
