Saudi Arabia's facility-management market has surpassed US$50 billion, a milestone announced in September 2026 by the Minister of Municipalities and Housing during the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition held in the Kingdom.
Facility management covers the services that keep buildings and public spaces running — from maintenance, cleaning and security to energy, safety systems and technical operations across residential, commercial and public properties.
The scale of the sector reflects the rapid expansion of construction, real estate and large-scale developments across the country in recent years. As more housing, offices, retail centres and mixed-use projects come online, demand for the specialised services that operate and maintain them continues to grow.
For residents and expats in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, a larger and more organised facility-management sector points to better-maintained buildings, stronger safety standards and more job and business opportunities in a field that supports daily life across the Kingdom.
The announcement, made at an international gathering hosted in Saudi Arabia, also highlights the country's position as a growing hub for the industry, drawing companies and specialists focused on operating and maintaining the Kingdom's expanding built environment.
