A Saudi initiative focused on developing hospitality talent was named among the first six Beyond Tourism Impact Stars by the World Economic Forum on 25 September 2026, in recognition of private-sector-led work supporting the tourism sector.
The program, titled “Empowering Saudi Hospitality Talent,” is led by Sommet Education through a national-scale education partnership in Saudi Arabia. It spans a broad range of skill levels, from entry-level hospitality training and professional development to executive leadership.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the Kingdom's hospitality workforce and help meet the growing talent requirements of a fast-expanding tourism sector. As Saudi Arabia continues to develop new destinations and experiences, demand for trained hospitality professionals across all levels continues to rise.
Why it matters
For residents and job seekers, the recognition highlights the growing role of structured hospitality education in the Kingdom, opening pathways for Saudis to build careers in one of the country's fastest-growing industries.
It is worth noting that this recognition is a private-sector-led tourism-impact solution. It does not establish any Saudi government fee, visa, employment, or licensing benefit, and there are no official prices, application steps, or government platform procedures associated with the initiative at this time.
