Saudi Industrial Fintech Financing Jumps 130% in 2026

Financing extended to Saudi industrial projects through digital fintech platforms reached about SR541 million in the first half of 2026, up 130% from SR234 million in the same period a year earlier, reflecting rapid growth in digital lending to the country's factories and industrial small and medium-sized enterprises.

The H1 2026 figure represents roughly 70% of all industrial fintech financing recorded during the whole of 2025. Cumulative industrial financing through fintech channels linked to the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources reached about SR774 million by early 2026, driven by wider partnerships with licensed digital lenders.

The number of fintech companies financing industrial projects rose from three in H1 2025 to seven in H1 2026, including Tameed, Tamra Capital, Lendo and Sukuk Capital, alongside other licensed platforms.

What the platforms offer

Current products for industrial SMEs focus on working capital, invoice financing, supply-chain finance, purchase-order financing, payroll financing, and Sharia-compliant digital loans. Applications are handled online, with typical repayment tenors of up to 12 months for short-term SME facilities.

Eligibility generally requires a valid commercial registration and industrial licenses, recent financial statements or revenue proof, a defined purpose of funding such as equipment, inventory or operations, and compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements. A minimum operating history is usually required and varies by platform. Fees and profit rates are set individually by each licensed lender based on risk and product type, and are disclosed within each platform's online application; there is no fixed government fee schedule.

Fintech lending falls under the regulatory framework of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and aligns with Ministry programs to diversify funding sources for factories. Platforms operate through their own digital portals and mobile applications, not through government service channels for loan origination. The trend mirrors broader momentum in Saudi digital finance: venture capital funding in the Kingdom reached about SAR 821 million in H1 2026, with fintech accounting for 67% of the total.
