A national industrial transformation platform backed by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is scheduled to take place in Riyadh from 30 November to 2 December 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC). The event aims to showcase advanced manufacturing solutions and connect the Kingdom's industrial sector with new technologies.
Under the banner "Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia," the platform will highlight key areas including industrial automation, digitalization, energy, intralogistics, and additive manufacturing — all central to the shift toward smarter, more efficient factories.
The ministry's transformation drive is anchored by the Future Factories Program, which targets the upgrading of 4,000 factories toward greater operational efficiency, automation, and advanced industrial solutions. The program applies the SIRI methodology to assess each factory's digital maturity, with a goal of helping facilities reach SIRI level 2.
Support Programs and Investment Momentum
The ministry currently lists two active support tracks: the Industrial Competitiveness Program, focused on improving facility competitiveness and energy-use efficiency, and the Standard Incentives for the Industrial Sector, aimed at growth, diversification, attracting investment, and localization.
Investment activity has continued to grow alongside these efforts. Reporting for 2025 shows 1,660 new industrial licences issued, carrying SAR 76 billion in investments, followed by 188 new industrial licenses worth SAR 5.1 billion in March 2026.
For residents and business owners in Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond, the growing industrial base points to expanding job opportunities, new local supply chains, and a widening role for technology-driven manufacturing across the Kingdom.
