Riyadh Hosts Key 2026 Events on AI and Jobs

Riyadh is set to host a series of major international gatherings during 2026 that place the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs, skills, and society at the center of the conversation, drawing attention to how technology is reshaping the future of work.

The Global Labor Market Conference 2026 will take place in Riyadh on January 26–27, 2026. Its agenda focuses on the effects of AI on jobs and productivity, changing employment patterns, future skills, labor-market resilience, and the quality of jobs available to workers.

Immediately after, the International Conference on Data and AI Capacity Building will be held in Riyadh on January 28–29, 2026. Discussions will examine how AI is influencing work, education, current and future generations, and the opportunities available to young people entering the labor market.

Later in the year, Riyadh will host the UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence 2026 in September 2026. The forum is expected to address AI's effects on the labor market, education, health, media, infrastructure, skills, access to technology, and social inclusion.

Alongside these events, the AI Arabia Center of Excellence was launched in Saudi Arabia during LEAP 2026 to help improve workers' AI skills and support the adoption of AI across the labor market.

Why it matters

For residents and job seekers in Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond, these gatherings signal a growing focus on preparing the workforce for a changing job landscape. The discussions on skills, education, and youth opportunities point to practical steps that could shape training and hiring in the years ahead.
