Saudi Youth Robotics: WRO 2026 Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for boys and girls aged 8 to 22 across all regions of Saudi Arabia to take part in the 2026 World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Saudi edition. The registration window opened on 24 August 2026 and closes on 7 September 2026, with the online service available around the clock during this period.

Applicants begin by submitting a registration of interest through the Mawhiba portal at the dedicated WRO link s.mawhiba.sa/ROB. After that, participants attend an introductory session scheduled through the portal, choose their competition category and form a team, then complete team registration via the national platform wrosaudi.com. Team formation and activation are finalized by the coach, who confirms team data and activates the team on the national platform.

From there, teams train and prepare before competing in the Saudi national qualifiers for the WRO season. The pathway is designed as a clear journey that runs from registering interest all the way to national representation.

Why it matters

The program targets students in robotics and STEM fields, aiming to boost youth engagement in robotics, innovation, logical thinking, and teamwork through preparatory and competition stages. Registration covers all regions of the Kingdom, allowing young people nationwide to apply through the same online process without regional differences.

Registration and participation for WRO Saudi 2026 are handled directly through the Mawhiba website and the WRO Saudi platform. As of the latest available information, no specific participation or registration fees have been publicly detailed for this season. Families and students interested in taking part are encouraged to complete their registration of interest before the 7 September deadline.
