A new strategic partnership signed in 2026 between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Snap aims to equip more than 20,000 Saudi nationals with advanced digital skills by 2030. The agreement was announced on the sidelines of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, with the Saudi Digital Academy acting as the executive arm.
The partnership is designed as a long-term digital innovation ecosystem targeting 20,000 beneficiaries. It is built on three main pillars: developing national talent, enabling the digital economy ecosystem, and enhancing digital trust and digital well-being.
To deliver on these goals, the ecosystem is structured under three primary initiatives: a Center of Excellence for Talent Development, an Innovation Center to enable the digital economy ecosystem, and a Digital Sustainability initiative to promote digital trust and well-being. Implementation runs through joint training programs and tracks aimed at multiple community segments, including youth, content creators, and digital professionals, with a focus on advanced skills relevant to future jobs.
As of early September 2026, no public information specifies exact fees or prices for participation, and the initiatives are described as national capability-building programs without published tuition figures. Enrollment and participation are typically managed through the official MCIT and Saudi Digital Academy online portals, aligned with the broader Future Skills initiative. No official notices describe specific validity periods for certificates issued under the partnership; certification practices follow MCIT and Saudi Digital Academy standards.
For residents and young Saudis, the program adds another route to build in-demand digital capabilities and prepare for a fast-changing labor market, as the Kingdom continues to strengthen its digital economy.
