School Bag Support: SAR 84 per Term for Beneficiaries

Families benefiting from the developed social security program will automatically receive financial assistance to help buy school bags and uniforms for their children ahead of the new academic year. The support is aimed at students aged between 6 and 18 who are enrolled in general education and registered in the Noor system with matched and updated records.

The current amount is SAR 84 bringing the total to SAR 252 for the full school year, which covers three terms. This reflects a slight increase over the previous rate of SAR 80 or SAR 240 annually.

Payment is made automatically without the need to submit any application. The amount is deposited directly into the bank account of the head of household registered in the social security program, and it is disbursed once at the start of each new term alongside the monthly social security pension. The first-term deposit for the 2026–2027 academic year has been set for 20 August 2026.

How to check your support status

The school bag support is offered as a proactive electronic service through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, funded from Zakat resources to help provide essential school supplies. Beneficiaries can review the status of their payment by logging into the ministry's electronic platform, then selecting Electronic Services, followed by Additional Support Programs, then School Bag Support. The page displays the support details and the status of the transferred amount.

To ensure payments are not delayed, families are advised to regularly update their personal and banking details as well as their students' information in the Noor system. It is worth noting that these payments are not processed through residency, labor, or municipal platforms; the disbursement runs solely through the designated social security channel.
