stc Wraps LEAP 2026 With New Deals and AI Projects

stc group concluded its participation at LEAP 2026 in الرياض on 4 September 2026, taking part as the event's strategic partner for the fifth year in a row. Over four days, the group focused on new digital projects and strategic agreements designed to accelerate Saudi Arabia's digital transformation and innovation.

During the event, stc and its subsidiaries signed multiple strategic agreements inside the Kingdom covering artificial intelligence solutions and platforms, data centers and next-generation cloud services for government, enterprises and small and medium businesses, advanced 5G connectivity and network modernization, and sector-specific digital solutions in tourism, sports, logistics, construction and education.

Global partnerships

stc expanded its cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to speed up cloud adoption for government entities, enterprises and small businesses, and to provide cloud infrastructure, digital services, security services and skills-development programs within the local market. A collaboration with AMD will apply high-performance computing to cloud, AI inference, analytics and scalable infrastructure in Saudi data centers.

The group also signed a multi-year agreement with Ericsson to widen 5G coverage across the Kingdom, including deployment of Ericsson Radio 4496 on the newly acquired 600 MHz spectrum, improving in-building coverage while reducing network energy use. A multi-year collaboration with Cisco aims to move stc's network operations toward Level 4 Autonomous Network standards, using AI-driven automation and Splunk-powered analytics so the network can self-configure, self-heal and self-optimize in real time.

Further agreements included an MoU with Intel to explore AI PCs, Edge AI, hybrid AI and next-generation data-center infrastructure, and an MoU with Mahd Sports Academy to develop AI- and data-driven talent-scouting tools for athletes. The group's innovation arm also launched "colab" at the event.

For residents and businesses across الرياض, جدة and the wider Kingdom, the agreements point to faster networks, wider 5G reach and expanded cloud and AI services in the months ahead.
