Al Hilal in Talks to Sign England Striker Ollie Watkins

Al Hilal are in active negotiations to sign England striker Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, though the deal has not been officially completed as of 27 August 2026. Despite reports suggesting the transfer is done, the move remains under discussion and depends on final approval from the English club.

Al Hilal have submitted multiple offers for the forward, with recent bids reported at around €45–50 million as a total package including add-ons. The most advanced framework mentioned so far involves a transfer fee of about £50 million plus minor performance-related bonuses, alongside a proposed three-year contract for the player.

the deal is contingent on Aston Villa securing a replacement striker. Watkins is understood to be open to the move and has reportedly agreed personal terms, but the English side has rejected earlier bids and retains full control over whether the transfer proceeds.

What it means for fans

No Saudi Pro League registration, work contract, or official announcement has confirmed Watkins as an Al Hilal player. As a result, the specific Saudi-side steps — including club contract execution, player registration, and residency and work permit procedures — have not yet been defined for this case.

For fans in الرياض and across the Kingdom following the 2026–2027 season build-up, the situation remains one to watch. Until an official confirmation is issued, any claims that the signing is finalised are inaccurate. سعودي ليفنج will update readers once verified details are available.
