Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth has been appointed Deputy Minister of Media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the excellent rank, under Royal Order No. A/267 issued on 24 Sha‘ban 1447, corresponding to 12 February 2026.
The royal order was published in Umm Al-Qura issue 5144, dated 13 February 2026, formalizing the appointment within the Ministry of Media's leadership.
Al-Maghlouth brings extensive experience in government communication. Before this appointment, he served as Assistant Minister of Media at the excellent rank following a royal order dated 12 December 2023 (28 Jumada I 1445). Earlier, he was the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Media for several years up to 2023–2024, founded and supervised the Government Communication Center at the ministry, and held the post of undersecretary for communication.
The role is held at the excellent rank, which places it within the category governed by the Law of Ministers, Vice Ministers, and Employees of the Excellent Rank.
For residents and expats, this is a leadership appointment carried out through a royal decree. It does not involve any public-facing procedures, fees, application steps, or validity periods, and requires no action from individuals through any government platform. The move reflects continued development in the Kingdom's media and government communication leadership.
