A Saudi–Egyptian consortium known as Asl is preparing to launch a new real estate investment fund that will span Egypt and Saudi Arabia, with plans to deploy up to SAR 1 billion in assets during its first year of operations.
The initiative is linked to Asl Holding and focuses on the real estate and hospitality sectors. Both areas continue to attract growing investor attention across the region as demand for residential, commercial, and tourism-related assets expands.
The fund is still in the setup phase. The related company structure was described as being in the final stages of securing approval in Egypt, while the fund itself would need to obtain its own license before it can begin raising capital. No Saudi-specific official channel, fee, price, or validity period has been made available for this fund at this stage.
Why it matters
For residents and investors in the Kingdom, the plan reflects continued cross-border interest in the Saudi property market and the wider hospitality sector. The move comes amid a broader wave of real estate fund activity, including a separate SAR 1.9 billion fund launched earlier by SAB Invest and Retal.
If it proceeds as planned, the Asl fund could add another sizable player to a market that is seeing steady investment across residential and tourism projects. Details on structure, pricing, and timing are expected to become clearer as the licensing process advances.
