Golf Saudi Boosts Long-Term Women's Golf Commitment

Golf Saudi has announced a multi-year commitment to the growth of women's golf in the Kingdom, built around a new partnership with the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LET Order of Merit. The move reinforces support the organization has provided to the women's game since 2020.

A major milestone will arrive in 2027, when The Championship will be co-sanctioned by the LPGA and LET and carry a prize fund of US$4 million. Ahead of that, the 2026 PIF Global Series features five tournaments with combined prize funds of US$15 million.

One of the season's headline events, the 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International, was staged at Riyadh Golf Club in الرياض from 9 to 15 February 2026 with a US$5 million prize fund, underlining the growing scale of professional women's competition in the country.

Building the grassroots

Alongside elite events, Golf Saudi is widening development pathways through academies and a planned LPGA Professionals program. National school programs and club initiatives have already introduced more than 50,000 women and girls to the sport, while the Go Golf program offers introductory clinics, driving-range sessions and "have-a-go" activities.

The organization has set an ambitious target to raise the number of registered golfers from around 4,500 to more than 30,000 within five years. For residents and families across الرياض, جدة and beyond, the expanding network of academies and beginner-friendly sessions signals more accessible opportunities to try the sport and progress within it.
