Fintech lending to industrial projects in Saudi Arabia climbed sharply in the first half of 2026, reaching SAR 541 million compared with SAR 234 million in the same period a year earlier — a 130% increase that points to growing appetite for digital financing among factories and manufacturers.
The number of fintech companies active in industrial financing more than doubled, rising from three in the first half of 2025 to seven in the same period of 2026. Platforms currently offering financing to industrial firms include Tameed, Lendo, Sukuk Capital, Tarmeez Capital, Dinar Holding, Forus, and Yanal Finance.
These platforms typically provide working capital financing for factories and industrial SMEs, invoice and receivables financing for suppliers, and expansion funding to help companies scale production capacity. The activity is overseen at the national level by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, while the wider fintech sector is regulated by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) through its licensing and annual reporting framework.
The half-year figures build on steady momentum. Total industrial lending through fintech platforms reached roughly SAR 774 million across 2025, up from about SAR 569 million in 2024 and SAR 317 million in 2023.
How it works
Financing is arranged directly through the licensed platforms' online portals. An industrial company or factory registers on its chosen platform, submits credit assessment and project or working-capital details digitally, and the platform reviews invoices, purchase orders, or expansion plans before issuing financing offers. Approved funds are then disbursed to the company's Saudi account.
The reported figures are aggregate lending volumes, not fixed fees or per-transaction prices, and no standardized official fee schedule for industrial fintech lending is publicly specified. For local manufacturers and industrial SMEs, the trend signals wider access to faster, digital financing options as the sector continues to expand.
