A single land plot within the Masar Destination master development in Makkah Al‑Mukarramah has been sold for about SAR 168.91 million under a final land sale agreement, dated mid‑September 2026. The plot measures 2,500 square metres, faces the boulevard, and is located in Zone 2 of the project.
The announced value of SAR 168,910,000 does not include value‑added tax or other transaction taxes and fees, which are borne by the buyer. The deal is a final sale agreement rather than a reservation, meaning the value is fully recognised.
The sale is one of several land transactions concluded within Masar during 2026. Three plots in Zone 3, with a combined area of 6,904.62 square metres, were sold for a total of SAR 239,845,101, at individual prices of roughly SAR 75.1 million, SAR 77.3 million and SAR 87.4 million. A separate plot of 2,915.80 square metres was sold for about SAR 89.5 million, while two plots in Zone 1 covering 6,614 square metres changed hands for a combined SAR 462,112,098.
Other activity in the project included reservation agreements. A 4,487.38‑square‑metre plot earmarked for hospitality units carried a sale value of SAR 210,763,264, with the reservation valid until 18 May 2026. Three reservation agreements signed during 2026 had a combined value of about SAR 441.10 million, while two earlier reservations covering 4,886 square metres, valued at around SAR 438.82 million, expired without final sale agreements. Two hospitality-plot reservations were extended in March 2026 until 4 September 2026 for procedural reasons.
Masar is one of the largest urban development projects serving visitors to Makkah, and continued land sales point to steady investor interest in the area near the Holy Mosque — a trend expected to expand accommodation and services for pilgrims and residents alike.
