Riyadh Air Adds Kuala Lumpur and Malaga Routes in 2026

Riyadh Air is expanding its international network with two new destinations from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport: Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Malaga in Spain. Both routes will be served by three weekly flights operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Riyadh–Kuala Lumpur route will run year-round, starting on 30 July 2026. The Riyadh–Malaga route will operate as a seasonal summer service between 14 July and 8 September 2026.

By mid-August 2026, the airline's network from Riyadh is set to cover London, Manchester, Dubai, Jeddah, Cairo, Madrid, Malaga, Kuala Lumpur, and Dhaka, as part of its early-stage global expansion.

What travellers should know

Tickets for the new routes can be booked through the Riyadh Air official website, the airline's mobile application, and authorized travel agents and partners inside Saudi Arabia. The carrier's long-haul flights currently offer four cabin products: Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, which will also apply to the Kuala Lumpur and Malaga services.

For residents and expats in Riyadh, the additions open up a direct, year-round link to Southeast Asia through Kuala Lumpur, plus a seasonal summer option to southern Spain. Standard Saudi exit/entry, visa, and immigration procedures continue to apply through the competent authorities, with no special channels created only for these routes.
